The Nevada City School District is nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills and is home to students in Transitional Kindergarten through eigth grade. We are committed to provide an environment in which all students learn and achieve to the best of their abilities and talents; become life-long, enthusiastic learner; and develop a positive self-concept and sense of responsibility.

Deer Creek Elementary School  is a 2012 California Distinguished school and provides a comphrehensive academic program. Students  participate in a daily enrichment program that offers specialized instruction in Art, Computers, Fitness, and Library skills. The school is located at 805 Lindley Ave, Nevada City and houses Transitional Kindergarten - 4th grade students. 

Seven Hills Middle School  enjoys a strong academic reputation, balanced with an exciting enrichment program that supports students academic and personal interests. The school is located at 750 Hoover Lane, Nevada City and  is home to grades 5th-8th.

Nevada City Charter School prides itself in providing a nurturing, flexible learning environment focusing on individual student's needs and has served kindergarten through eighth grade students and their families for 18 years. The charter advocates home schooling and welcomes the opportunity to help students reach their educational goals.The charter is located at 750 Hoover Lane, Nevada City.

Kid's Club is our  Extended Child Care Program  designed to offer a quality, affordable before and after school experience to students enrolled in the district. We have two school sites that offer child care Deer Creek School in Room 9 and Seven Hills School in Room A-1. Please contact Darby Talbott at 478-8209 for more information.

 Club Preschool offers a wonderful program with highly trained staff and a focus on appropriate social interactions amongst students, staff, and families. Healthy snacks, daily physical education and skill building activities are offered as well as a curriculum  linked with Nevada City Schools. The school is located across from the District Office at 800 Hoover, Nevada City.
